Any body rotating
about a fixed given axis is said to be in rotational motion. We can not study
rotational motion in terms of physical quantities of translatory motion. To
understand rotational dynamics, we use physical quantities like angular
displacement and angular velocity which are in line with linear velocity and
linear displacement of translatory motion.
Similarly, we use
moment of inertia and it plays the role of mass in traslatory motion. Torque is
a physical quantity which turns the body against moment of inertia. The body in
rotational motion has rotational kinetic energy.
Taking all this
into consideration, entire rotational dynamics is discussed here as small
pieces of video lessons. Each lesson deals with a specific topic and in detail.
